Palm Springs Life Unveils Cover Dog for August Issue
Roxie Davenport is an adorable rescue greyhound who will be introduced during a July 13 program dedicated to assisting animals of all kinds. Presented by Pegasus Therapeutic Riding and Humane Society of the Desert at the Desert Princess Hotel & Resort in Cathedral City.

TAKE ME TO THE MOVIES

Twentynine Palms Recreation Department
Through the month of July, the city will present outdoor movies beginning with The Lego Movie on July 10 at Luckie Park. Refreshments will be available.

Wet 'n' Wild in Palm Springs
After cooling off at the Palm Springs water park, you can stay poolside and watch a family friendly movie starting with the popular Frozen on July 11. The movies are free with park admission and start at dusk.

Camelot Theatres in Palm Springs
Recapturing the energy about a big summer movie release, the Camelot is reserving Saturday nights through Labor Day weekend to showcase some of the blockbusters from the 1980s. Caddieshack runs at 9:30 p.m. July 11.

LIVE MUSIC

Palm Springs Voice Competition
Taken from the popular TV show, The Voice, the Purple Room Supper Club will conduct a local version with the finals set for Oct. 25. The winner will receive $1,000 and one show at the Purple Room. See Round 1 on July 11.

MAKE ME LAUGH

Theo Von
Known for his collaboration with Howie Mandel on the TV game show, Deal With It, Von is a standup comedian in his own right. He messes with rednecks and white trash folks borrowing on his Louisiana roots. See him for the Purple Room Comedy Night July 12 in Palm Springs.

Seussical The Musical
The Palm Canyon Theatre in Palm Springs comes alive for a seven-performance run, July 11-13 and July 17-20, of this children's classic featuring many of the characters you know, like The Cat in the Hat and Horton and the Whos.

POW WOW

19th Annual at Pechanga Resort Casino
Take a short drive west of Palm Springs to witness this cultural event including drum and dancing contests. Starts July 11 with fireworks set for July 13.

LEMON LILY FESTIVAL

Restoring a Lost Treasure
Idyllwild hopes to raise awareness to restore a once beautiful flower in its creek beds with a weekend event, July 12-13, split between the downtown area and the Idyllwild Nature Center. Watch our VIDEO to hear why this flower is not blooming.

SALUTE TO MILITARY 

Palm Springs Aerial Tram Pays Tribute 
Military personnel, active or retired, can ride for free during the month of July and feel the 30-degree difference in temperature from the desert floor to the top of the San Jacinto Mountain station.
