Indian Wells Arts Festival.

Peruse one of the nation’s brightest art shows April 6-8, 2012 when the Indian Wells Tennis Garden transforms into an oasis of culture. Indian Wells Arts Festival features more than 200 artists displaying and creating their wares, backed by live music and dancers. Artwork ranges from paintings to ceramics to jewelry and apparel. Watch live glass-blowing demonstrations, sand mermaid sculpture, and creation of an on-site stone sculpture or stop by the Children’s Creative Zone for sidewalk chalk drawing. You can even join Palm Springs Unified School District’s Color Me Critters project and help paint a large-scale banner. The marketplace offers handmade soaps, lotions, confections, and gourmet culinary items. Hungry visitors can dine alfresco on Easter morning at the popular Sunday Eggs + Champagne in the Garden, complemented by live entertainment. The festival supports local charities and donates to their art scholarship funds. Parking is free.
