Free concert tonight

The Old Town La Quinta Free Concert Series continues tonight on Main Street - R&B and pop favorites with "Evaro," 7pm-9.

My curiosity got the best of me, and began yammering in my ear: "How old IS Old Town?" If my research is correct, La Quinta's history began in 1926 when Walter Morgan opened the La Quinta Resort & Club, site of the Coachella Valley's first golf course. So Old Town is actually rather... new. No?
