ShortFestOverheard just before one of Saturday's ShortFest screenings:

"It's too bad you didn't arrive earlier in the week, when it was much cooler. The temperatures only got up to about a hundred and five."

That line, delivered with the utmost seriousness by a Palm Springs resident, got a huge laugh from nearly half the audience.
