NASCAR dreams come true as Morongo Casino, Resort & Spa offers one-of-a-kind NASCAR race car simulator, Feb 21 - 24

Anyone who has ever wanted to experience what it's like to dive a NASCAR race car will now have their chance at the Morongo Casino Resort & Spa. From Thursday, February 21 to Sunday, February 24, Morongo is providing racing fans with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to "drive" the Jeff Gordon number 24 Chevy Monte Carlo Simulator, the only one of its kind on the planet. Not only is the Morongo giving race fans an incredible racing experience, they're doing it for free and providing tickets to race weekend at the California Motor Speedway for the best lap times.

The NASCAR Simulator is made from a actual NASCAR race car driven by Jeff Gordon. The NASCAR Simulator provides a realistic racing experience with full sensory effects such as roaring engines, screeching and smoking tires, wind in your face, and full hydraulic motion of the whole race car.

Racers will have the opportunity to "drive" two to three laps designed to simulate the famous Bristol Motor Speedway. The fastest driver each day will receive complimentary tickets for race weekend at the California Motor Speedway. Lap times will be recorded by independent representatives from Kramer Motorsports, the operators of the simulator.

"The Morongo continues to provide BIG TIME thrills for our guests," said Sean Sullivan, general manager of the casino resort. "For this race weekend, Morongo will be the only place on earth were someone can have the experience to drive the Jeff Gordon NASCAR Simulator, the closest thing to racing without actually being on the track."

The simulator will be set up near the Morongo arcade and racing will begin on Thursday, February 21 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday, February 23 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and all day on Sunday, February 24. Thursday and Friday's fastest lap times will receive two tickets the Busch race and two tickets to The Auto Club 500 race. Saturday's winner will receive two tickets to the Auto Club 500 race.
