[New York Times article]Sad news indeed. In 1989, Wasserstein became the first woman in history to win both the Tony Award and the Pulitzer Prize for the same play, "The Heidi Chronicles":
"You look so bored, you must be very bright."
The play also provided an important breakthrough in the careers of Glenn Close and Meryl Streep.
