WEEKEND!Tonight: don't forget Villagefest, 6pm-10!

Friday: Paul Anka performs at the McCallum, 8pm. I just took a look at some of his song titles: Put Your Head On My Shoulder, Tell Me That You Love Me, Tonight My Love Tonight, I Don't Like to Sleep Alone, Love Me Warm and Tender, You're Having My Baby, Say Goodbye. What a sweet talker.

Saturday morning: At 10am, the PS Art Museum opens their Jack Lenor Larsen show. Let's scan the article... "textile design," "practicing weaver," "tactile appeal." Hm. How much you wanna bet they won't let me touch any of his stuff?

Saturday afternoon: Coda Gallery in Palm Desert is holding an artist reception for Kent Wallis, 2pm-6. White wine, please. And keep 'em coming.

Saturday evening: At sundown (approximately 6pm), the Astronomical Society of the Desert will hold a Star Party at the Coachella Valley Preserve. There should be a good view of Saturn, which is only one day away from its closest approach for 2006.

Sunday: At 7:30am, run or walk 5K (or run 10K) to benefit Kiwanis' Youth Programs. Feel free to take the rest of the day off, for vegging, napping, collapsing, etc.
