Friday: Friday Night at the Movies presents "Casablanca" with Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman, benefitting Big Brothers and Big Sisters of the Desert. The reception starts at 7:30pm (film at 8) in The Gardens on El Paseo. "I remember every detail. The Germans wore gray, you wore blue." —Rick (Bogart) to Ilsa (Bergman)

Saturday morning: The Desert Film Society screens "Johnny Montana" at the Camelot Theatres. Doors open at 9am for refreshments, and the film starts at 9:30. After the movie: Q&A with John Daniel Gavin (lead actor, producer, screenwriter and director). "Johnny Montana takes you for a ride on his leased Harley through the city streets – and more sex than you'd have thought possible."

Saturday afternoon: The Mrs. Globe pageant continues at the Westin Mission Hills Resort, and the Renaissance Festival continues in Idyllwild. I was surprised to learn that Mrs. Globe has an official song. One wonders whether Mr. Globe will be envious...

Saturday evening: At 7pm, catch "Jekyll & Hyde, The Musical" at the John Calveri Theatre in Twentynine Palms. The theatre's website says this musical is "a Broadway Phenomenon that ran 1,587 performances and generated an unprecedented 1,587 standing ovations."

Sunday: At 2pm, it's Aga-Boom at the PS Pavilion. This is a "family show of theatrical clowning, comedy, and unbridled silliness created by a Cirque du Soleil clown." I always did like my silliness unbridled...
