Babe’s Brewhouse wins big at the L.A. International Commercial Beer Competition after 6 year competition hiatus!
Rancho Mirage, California's very own Babe's Bar-B-Que & Brewhouse wins 4 of 4 entries including Gold for it’s Blackfin Lager!
Babe’s Brewhouse at The River in Rancho Mirage got back into beer competition this year after a 6 year hiatus with 4 entries at the Los Angeles International Commercial Beer Competition taking 4 medals for all 4 of their entries.
Babe’s took a gold medal in the German Style Schwarzbier category for its “Blackfin Lager” beating Samuel Adams who took a Silver Medal in the same category for their Black Lager. Babe’s also took 2 Silver Medals, 1 for their “29 Palms Pale Ale” and their prototype “Bin 1208 Ale” a new big ale brewed and fermented with Whole Cherries, Blackberries and French Oak. This ale was created for the sole purpose to pair with Big Red Meats and Bar-B-Que.
Babe’s finished out its entries with a Bronze Medal for its “Classic Golden Ale”, Brewed for our Desert Climate.
Babe’s General Manager Arthur Vasquez and Brew master Scot Grabbe Were very pleased and excited to win medals for beers that are always on tap at the restaurant for everyone in the Desert to try.
Babe’s is 1 of only 2 Micro-Breweries in the Coachella Valley and wants to put Coachella Valley on the map for Craft Beer with future competitions wins.
