Tonight: It's the ever-popular
Villagefest, 6-10pm... while the
Palm Springs Art Museum offers free admission from 4-8pm.
I really dig free stuff...Friday: At 7pm, the
Old Schoolhouse Lecture Series presents "Mining History & Geology of Joshua Tree National Park" with geologist Margaret R. Eggers.
I have a friend who enjoyed blowing things up in high school. I think this is the main reason he's now a world-famous mining engineer.Saturday morning: Palm Springs Women in Film & Television hosts a
networking brunch with
George Englund at 9:45am.
Great odds: lotsa women, one guy.Saturday afternoon (actually, all day long): It's the
Hemet-Ryan Airshow up in
Hemet.
What could be finer? Skydivers, flybys, wing walking and a pancake breakfast.Saturday evening:
Shelly Kramer and Libby Lavella perform from 6-9pm at The River.
Will there be a Kumbaya singalong?Sunday: From 3-9pm,
Chuckwalla Fest '06 continues into its third day, at
Pappy & Harriet's.
Hm. I never suspected that chuckwallas were enthusiastic about music and arts.Check the
calendar for more activities!
