Celebrity encounter: Elke Sommer

When Elke posed for Playboy, many years ago, it was a magical day in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. I'm sure it was a magical day in other parts of the world, too, but I experienced it—along with several other teenage boys—in the schoolyard of Chelmsford Junior High.

However, you can't say that kind of thing out loud, when you approach a world-famous actress/artist. In fact, I couldn't say anything. I just stood there holding my camera, dumbstruck, while she took off her sunglasses and raised the brim of her hat so that I could get a good photo (click image for larger version). Somehow, I managed to click the shutter and mumble, "Thank you, Ms. Sommer."

As she softly thanked me, I became a teenager again, and she became one of the sexiest women I've ever met.
