1st Annual Desert Dog Run, an event to benefit Guide Dogs of the Desert, Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 9:00 a.m.

Saturday, May 10 will be the 1st Annual Desert Dog Run with $150.00 in cash prizes up for grabs for the highest poker hand. Registration begins at 9:00a.m. at the Guide Dogs of the Desert facility at 60735 Dillon Road in Whitewater with an official ride start time of 10:00 a.m. Riders will draw poker cards at each of the run stops including Renegade Classics Outlet Store, Palm Springs Harley-Davidson, Hutchins Harley-Davidson and the end stop and after party location, Pappy and Harriet's with live entertainment, vendors and a 50/50 raffle.

The Guide Dogs of the Desert school was founded in Palm Springs in 1972 to provide safe mobility, loving companionship and the "miracle of independence" to the blind through the use of a guide dog. The school is known for its small class size, making for a family environment.

Guide Dogs of the Desert training facility located at 60-740 Dillon Road in Whitewater, 3 Poker Run Stops with the final stop being at Pappy and Harriet's, Pioneertown.
