Temecula Film & Music Fest

Sep 12, 2006 - 08:12 AM
Temecula posterThis year's Temecula Valley International Film & Music Festival begins tomorrow night, with a screening of Terri Farley's film, Beautiful Dreamer, about a pilot (Colin Egglesfield) who is left with amnesia and is later found in a small town by his grief-stricken wife (Brooke Langton). The film co-stars Barry Corbin, James Denton, Tom Everett and Susan Barnes.

Also on the opening night program is a short entitled West Bank Story, a musical comedy about an Israeli soldier and a Palestinian girl, torn between their love and their families' dueling falafel stands. USC School of Cinema-Television submitted the short on behalf of first-time director Ari Sandel.

The producers, directors and actors of both films are expected to attend.

On Sunday, during the festival's closing night black-tie gala, Hector Elizondo will accept the 2006 Lifetime Achievement Award for his remarkable career and impressive body of work as an actor of both film and TV.

Elizondo joins this year's other honorees, including legendary music icon, Dionne Warwick, actor Dennis Haysbert, film composer John Ottman, and the Mayor's Visionary Award honoree David Straus.
