Time to Captain Your Own Ship

Sherryl Nova Horoscope

In the 1970s, Biorhythm, a book by Bernard Gittelson, made the best-seller lists and remained popular for a long time. It featured a study of mental, physical, and emotional cycles based on individuals’ birth data. From athletes to executives, people were interested in improving performance and productivity using this “new” technique. Astrologers were delighted that the public was introduced to charting planetary motion. The math was identical to the orbits of the moon, Mercury, and Mars. Biorhythm joined the Farmers Almanac with a practical application of astrology.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)
It has been idea season. But ideas without plans have little worth. What does your gut instinct tell you about which directions will bear fruit? Where are you most likely to solidly nurture growth? Acquiescence to the greater good restores faith in your initiative. Be honest with yourself.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)
Amid faith-testing situations, your metaphysical strength keeps you above the fray. How are your serenity, inspiration, forgiveness, and ability to let go? You have a brilliant concept of how the universe works. Now you need the plan — and commitment. Your natural mother’s wit is peaking, and your feelings prescient. Knowledge of what happens next will be your rock. Begin again.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)
In cultivating two projects, use skills from disparate individuals to rise to another level. In a marketplace of peers, you will begin to emerge as a leader. Best to play the benevolent despot. Remember those who helped with the climb. Simple acknowledgement transforms quality associates into loyalists.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Communication is crucial. From overhauling systems and uncluttering databases, to the purchase of more effective technology, your command central needs a makeover. Consider hiring help. Become familiar with new methods. These are investments in your future.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
Long-distance travel opens doors. Master teachers are everywhere. If receptive and quick, you gain lifelong lessons. Persons of other cultures share much that is pertinent to your goals. International business is the next step. No longer solely regional, you can access much that will streamline the route to success.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Your instinct for security and cheerful “guilty until proven innocent” attitude wins fans. Note the emphasis on “cheerful.” Do not glower when unearthing clues. Laugh and treat it all like pop psychology. Bumble and chuckle your way to the truth, so they all think they figured it out themselves.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
You must be exhausted from that doubleparked dance card. Withdraw to a space with breathing and deciding room. Like the Food Network show Chopped, you are surrounded with ingredients — some off the wall. Streamline progress by consciously deleting the unworkable. Then turn ingredients into cuisine.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
You have been attracted to new concepts in service, which causes you to question the servants, assistants, vendors, consultants, and subcontractors you need to refine your game. Lately servants are mutable. Change is often beneficial. With no emotional reaction, demote, fire, and promote. You will win.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
You are moved to “mother” another who could benefit from your expertise. Surely a little TLC could help them. Actually, you are projecting. Shine that laser beam of truth on yourself to heal you and lighten your load. You have compromised personal values for social gain. This is not wrong unless it’s wrong for you. Love thyself.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)
Domestic environments are a source of growth and understanding. You can accrue power that is influence. Your opinion is the catalyst for new ventures. With your insight and “been there, done that” attitude, you can stifle chaos. You are an adviser, an emeritus associate. No heavy lifting. Command the meeting. Be an angel.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)
Community involvement is strong. Be willing to invest time to matters that concern your environment. Siblings and neighbors have much to present, and your participation is a strength. Real estate issues demand input that can improve quality of life. Refine intimate space so that it serves and comforts you. Drop out to regenerate.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)
Opportunities to begin new revenue streams abound. No job is too small; there is always room for expansion. Make sure the basic value aligns with your assessment of worth. Taurus is the time of year when the farmer must kill so that its brothers can live. But the green of Taurus is growth and money, and new beginnings for finances rock.
