April 2014 Horoscope

The Power of the Lunar Eclipse

“Is this bad or good?” is by far my most frequently asked question. My response is there is no “bad” or “good”; there is only a reaction to the situation. We are all subject to the lunar eclipse on April 15. Lunar response is emotional, as the pull of gravity affects our blood, sweat, and tears. Avoid emotional reactions and trust your gut instinct. Alternatively, there can be dramatic chaos. Which do you choose? For a look at the choices in your tomorrows, email me at sherrylnova@aim.com.

Aries (March 21–April 19)

Domestic issues clash with worldly concerns, so now is your chance to make alliances between your personal and professional spheres. A home improvement project is long overdue; now is the time. Jupiter will help you with emotional overspending, and Mars can put everybody in their corners, ready for war. Emphasize domestic changes to support success in the marketplace.

Taurus (April 20–May 20)

Networking potential is high. Call those contacts; your natural empathy strengthens connections. Many meetings are superfluous, yet alliances deepen. Be patient with the mix of input; be appreciative of the time and attention of others; take all under consideration; and then choose. Withhold reactions for power. Be serene.

Gemini (May 21–June 20)

Pressure builds to make serious commitments to significant others, but timing could be a bit premature. Be willing to wait for a catch-up round to make sure all are on the same page. In the marketplace, a spiritual quality can boost a dream project. The only effective leadership now is by example. Be a light and others will see the path. You are in the spotlight, so shine!

Cancer (June 21–July 22)

Jupiter continues its overload and overwhelms, yet seeing the big picture is thrilling. Dust off your favorite philosophies and apply them to the present. Strive for balance in communiqués, talking and listening equally. Be open to crazy schemes and pitiful scenes; though irritating, they have positive secret messages that support your efforts.

Leo (July 23–Aug. 22)

Emotional matters with family can weigh on your mindfulness. A helpful concept is that you cannot want more for another than they want for themselves. Your responsibilities may be heavy; don’t add stress by attempting to change others. Choose an exciting new project to balance thoughts. In a year or two, it will all be solved. Be patient, especially with yourself.

Virgo (Aug. 23–Sept. 22)

Choices made on outworn values will be counterproductive. Last year’s priorities may fade as you begin to find new sources of worth. Investments of time, thought, and money can be lucrative, but they require patience and the knowledge that there is a penalty for early withdrawal. Delayed gratification is your most effective tool. Eliminate some seedlings so others can thrive.

Libra (Sept. 23–Oct. 22)

Mars in Libra through July 25 is a challenge for you, the child of balance. Mars is your polar opposite, instigating action and always imagining war as the solution. You find yourself putting out fires and longing for peace. Without Mars, there would be no new beginnings, no initiative, and no effective action toward change. Be willing to defend your position. Into each peace a little war must fall.

Scorpio (Oct. 23–Nov. 21)

Saturn in your sign through Dec. 23 demands that you take responsibility for your life purpose. Consciousness expansion is your invisible tool, and mental changes provide a boost in energy and initiation. Awareness of the natural laws of cause and effect contributes to the goal. Short getaways reset your spirit for the next round. Meditate often.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22–Dec. 21)

Venus and Neptune supply large doses of the subconscious dream state. This can be idyllic in private, but the real world demands intense networking as you near the deadline for an important change. You probably have overlooked those who can help most, as they are nearby and familiar. While sudden alliances may not be meant to last, they can radically change conditions for the better.

Capricorn (Dec. 22–Jan. 19)

Partners with the juice are willing to share, but maybe not in the style you have imagined. Nurture intimates who have your best interests at heart. Since you have been wearing that heart on your sleeve, your situation is evident to many. Be sure to acknowledge the input of those you approach. Listen, be thankful for their time and attention, and apply their wisdom for growth.

Aquarius (Jan. 20–Feb. 18)

This can be a powerful month if you take time to drop out and listen to your creative side. Visit a special hideaway that renews you; wheels will spin if there is no downtime. Take a slower-moving ally to a relaxed lunch and swap amusing stories. Quiet and laughter restore your soul. Feed your spirit.

Pisces (Feb. 19–March 20)

Hasty financial moves may not be effective. There is someone who holds a key to the next logical step and has already stated the obvious, but you haven’t heard. A granite partnership may have turned to sand, but the space provided opens up exciting new options. Consider the serious ramifications of transformation. In seeking the light, know you are a lucky child.
