Welcome to Greater Palm Springs, also known as the Coachella Valley, an idyllic destination built on tourism and agriculture, and growing in many other areas — especially healthcare, clean energy and technology, and creative arts.

“The Coachella Valley is recognized as a great place to do business,” says Tom Flavin, president and CEO of the Coachella Valley Economic Parntnership. “We have a ‘can-do’ attitude, as well as our Innovation Hub and Accelerator Campus with 57,000 square feet of space to grow 21st century companies.”

Coachella Valley Vision 2013/2014, produced by the editors of Palm Springs Life, reveals the infrastructure of Coachella Valley’s blossoming economy — from educating a workforce to incubating businesses to promoting the vast opportunities to work and thrive in one of the world’s best-known destinations.

The publication also emphasizes the CVEP’s robust Workforce Excellence programs and the Coachella Valley Innovation Hub Accelerator Campus, which supports entrepreneurs launching innovative businesses.

We organize the publication by market sector, each of which contains profiles of innovative people — “Visionaries” — who explain why they brought their individual skills and, in some cases, companies to the Coachella Valley. Drawn by the resort lifestyle, each has realized great rewards since coming to ply their trade here.

This publication and its video-enhanced digital editions — including an iPad app — represent the efforts of CVEP, Greater Palm Springs CVB, and Riverside County Economic Development Agency.

Vision 2013/2014 demonstrates that the Coachella Valley is a bright place to invest, grow, and thrive with an incomparable quality of life.

Bright Ideas!
