When people move to the Coachella Valley, they invariably rave about its lifestyle — the natural beauty, the convergence of interesting people, and the engaging activities.

Sunrise Company, which has developed some of the area’s finest country clubs and hotels over its 45 years, strives to bottle that experience. “We see ourselves as a lifestyle company,” says COO Randall Bone. “[Real estate is] no longer only about golf. People have diverse intellectual pursuits. Everything we build here sets the stage for people to pursue and enjoy things.”

All locales have a prevailing style, and the Coachella Valley is no exception. “The weather and lifestyle drive a strong desire to entertain,” Bone says. “We emphasize open floor plans and indoor/outdoor connections so that main living areas flow seamlessly to the outside. The sophistication of the people here has driven a high level of architectural finish and design.”

Toscana Country Club represents the culmination of our companies experience in the desert, he says. “My father, William Bone and our senior management team has brought into the community everything we’ve learned over four decades. It’s definitely the nicest thing we’ve built.”

Bone notes that people’s businesses need not be where they live; many can now choose. “With that comes the challenge to achieve a balance of nature, people, cultural engagement, and economic opportunity,” he says. “The Coachella Valley will benefit from that, attracting more primary residents and entrepreneurs. It’s a dream that is attainable for a lot of people. We’re happy to be a part of that.”
