Ila Johnson, our cover girl, is "Miss AeroClassic" and also wears the California Press Photographers honorary crown this year. Miss Johnson, 20, is an English major in her junior year at La Verne College. Photography is by Maurine, one of the Southland's most versatile and accomplished camera artists. Maurine is equally famous for her dramatic and glamorous photographs of international motion picture and television celebrities, taken in her Beverly Hills studio, and her pictures of executive men and and women, which carry her stamp of individuality and a quality of distinction.
