Palm Springs Life Cover Archive 1976 December

Interior designer Doug Hiatt decorated his Palm Springs home especially for our holiday cover. A plantation noble fir tree was cut in the state of Washington, flown to Los Angeles and rushed by ambulance to the desert. Handmade crystal ornaments arrived from Italy. White-flocked tamarisk tree boughs, purple apples and candles in crystal glasses were on the mantel while the tree was subtly flocked in purple.
