Horoscope - Look to Yourself

December 2008

Sherryl Nova

Muckrakers streak like comets, and responsibility for the self is back with a vengeance. The new heroes are those who lead by example and who understand that failing institutions owe us nothing but life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
You are not what you have done. You are not your citations, awards, and diplomas. Bring your entire value system back to zero. Take a deep breath. Imagine you have nothing. What’s the first free thought that arises? Seekers face a new direction. Bless new starts.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
In this time of good fortune, especially in the silver linings of clouds, realize that all the hard work and bone-wearying responsibility is bearing fruit. The strength of your spiritual life is the measure of your gain. Confidence in the order of the universe is a prayer of gratitude. Appreciate.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Gain disguised as loss is indicated now. Take a second look at what is causing discomfort, and know that a simple (but not necessarily easy) radical change of heart will turn dark to light. Your networking skills take on a new level of sophistication. Create a personal elitism. Evaluate.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
When spirits lag on a desired project, direct your attention elsewhere and apply the same intensity until you are again bored and embark upon a third direction. Be confident that all these disjointed efforts will be completed. You will walk with masters and be considered an equal. Evoke enthusiasm.

Aries (March 21-April 19)
Travel is uplifting. Realize that different latitudes restyle consciousness, and problems are solved in another time and space. Philosophically, you can make rapid strides of self-confidence. Blessed with loved ones and associates who are über-aware, goal setting is easy and enjoyable. Relax.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)
Move away from worries and into a group with a mission. Your participation will rest your weary hyper-awareness and lead you into new theorems of productivity. In simple (but not easy) terms: Get out of your mental ruts. Concentrate on the needs of others and you will experience healing. Give.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Mars lends an air of combativeness to your daily give and take. Be excited, but avoid steamrolling over less-animated others. Partners demand more equity; consider what is the right balance for the relationship. Although you do know it all, please refrain from reminders. Let them find their own light.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Issues of health require a boot-camp routine to integrate new concepts. Diet and exercise, nutrition, and meditation are not discipline but lifestyle choices. Cultivate a behind-the-scenes alliance, and build on the mutual increase that will be a new power base. Armed with lots of lecture, head to the lab.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
A fun, flirtatious holiday will clear your head for the New Year. All work, no play has exhausted you; bring back balance with good tidings and cheer. A service provider may qualify for a stronger alliance when you are aware of the potential. Hold judgment until a pattern is established. Observe activity.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Domestic-based holidays are more intimate and focused; make it a point to host or co-host an important gathering. Shop for bargains. Investment in your image is the focus. A friend provides a valuable service or provides the right servant. Restructure the use of personal space so that it serves goals.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
It’s not a mental high cycle, but spiritual. In order to preserve your mind, utilize all the self-help you have studied. Carve a spa experience out of a short trip, and treat New Year’s resolutions like your personal Holy Grail. Trust your feelings. Drop out to revive.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Several promising options for material success come into focus, and demand for your expertise is acute. Customize your services to the individual user, as many different factions demand your input. Take a drive to gain new perspective. Short jaunts away from command central will refresh your impetus.
