10 Places to Enjoy Easter Brunch in Palm Springs Area

Plenty of choices available across the Coachella Valley

It's not too late to make those Easter Brunch reservations for April 20.

Leave that big meal for the day to someone else and enjoy the freedom highlighted by good food and drink.

Here are some suggestions, in no particular order:

Spotlight 29 Casino, Coachella: You want food choices, this place has choices. Café Capitata offers Easter Champagne Brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Easter Dinner runs 4-10 p.m. The brunch offerings incluide breakfast items like eggs benedict, but there is also Prime Rib, Leg of Lamb and Roast Turkey. The evening fare is a little heavier with Braised Beef Short Rib, Roasted Orange Chicken, and Seafood Risotto.

Trio Restaurant, Palm Springs: Choose from a special Brunch Menu, the restaurant's normal $19 prix fixe menu (available until 4 p.m.) or regular dinner selections. Opens at 10 a.m.

The Living Desert, Palm Desert: The Easter Bunny will be busy with a two-day "Eggstravaganza", April 19-20, featuring 10,000 eggs to hunt after (for both children and adults), jelly bean counting contests, face painting, bounce houses, animal mask crafts, an egg eating contact amnd more.  Runs 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 19-20.

Colony Palms Hotel, Palm Springs: A three-course brunch at The Purple Palm costs $39 for adults and $16 for children 12 and under. Course highlibghts include Wood oven roasted asparagas, Linguini with fava beans, Belgian style waffle, milk chocolate and hazelnut bar, and Strawberry Shortcake.

Figue Mediterranean, La Quinta: Seatings from from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at $49 per person while children 12 and under are $18 per person for smaller portions. Figue will also serve Easter dinner from its regular menu starting at 5 p.m. Brunch items include Grilled Wild Alaska King Salmon-with mashed potatoes and ginger greens with rice wine sauce.

La Quinta Resorts & Club: The Easter Brunch is available 9:30 a.m. to 1: 30 p.m. and includes a Smoothie Bar with flavors like Green Apple-Tuscan Kale-Orange-Cashew, and a fruit and parfait bar featuring fragrant, seckle and forelle pears. Tere is also traditional breakfast items, a corner deli, vegie delights and traditional meat lovers. Adults $75, Children $45.

Fantasy Springs Resort Casino, Indio: The casino's three restaurants – Fresh Grill Buffet, Bistro and POM will each offer brunch and dinner specials. At the buffet, check out made-to-order omelets, carving stations and dishes from Italy, Asia, and Latin America.

Catalan Restaurant, Rancho Mirage: Chef Drew Davis has put together a stellar menu featuring starters like Smoked Trout & Argula followed by entrees like Authentic Spanish Tortilla Espanola or Crab Cakes and Poached Eggs.

Cuistot Restaurant, Palm Desert: Serving a Easter Brunch buffet from 10:30 a.m. to 2:15 pm. on El Paseo. There is a limited three-course, sit-down menu available. The buffet includes breakfast selections, a chilled selection with fruit and salads, hot selections with a carving station, and a dessert display.

Le Vallauris, Palm Springs: Easter Brunch for $59 per person includes an appetizer like Exotic Shrimp Cocktail with Passion Fruit; one main course like Grilled Lamb Loin Black Olive crust, Bail Oil, and Ratatouille, and one dessert like Noumea Banana Pineapple Mousse Cake.
