With May just around the corner in the Greater Palm Springs area, the thermometer is about to make a jump.

Time to think about a big resort featuring plenty of amenities and a variety of ways to stay cool.

Try a stay in the three bedroom Presidential Suite at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa in Palm Desert. This is a fabulous way to enjoy yourself with a group of friends.

Rest easy on a siesta on Marriott's famous pillowtop mattress, featherbed and duvet.

The Presidential Suite can sleep 13. Two of the bedrooms have king beds. The third has two double beds. There's a sofa bed and two rollaways are permitted.

After a morning of golfing on one of two championship courses at Desert Springs Golf Club, miniature golf, or treating yourself to a massage at the largest spa in SoCal for holistic and luxurious treatments, a swim in one of five spacious swimming pools with private cabanas (stocked with liquid goodness) or a workout at the Fitness Center, return for a siesta on Marriott's famous pillowtop mattress, featherbed and duvet.

Shower in the marble bathroom, then go to one of your three balconies. The view is the best available at the resort – swimming pools, lakes, lush fairways, English gardens and gondolas traveling through the waterways. Yes, gondolas. Make sure to take a ride. There are usually one or two swans who will give you gorgeous glares. Don't try to pet them though.

Have dinner brought to your dining room from Rockwood Grill, Mikado Japanese Steakhouse or Fisherman's Landing. When available, the restaurants serve some dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. After dinner, settle in, take advantage of the wet bar, mingle in the living room, watch one of four flat screen TVs, or do some stargazing from your balconies.

Take a swim a swim in one of five spacious swimming pools with private cabanas.

The Presidential Suite is perfect for a bridal shower, wedding headquarters, a place to entertain your business group, or to present a new product or service. It's also perfect for an intimate family reunion, where everyone can be together and apart as they choose. A perfect group base for your desert adventures!

“The Presidential Suite offers guests the highest experience of luxury and comfort within the spacious and beautifully designed suite," says Ralph Scatena, general manager at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa. "Offering an impressive view of the resort’s desert playground – from the shimmering lake to the majestic mountain ranges – guests have an unparalleled sensory experience just by standing on the balcony.”
