With your late afternoons and evenings filled with music, you'll need some suggestions for late night dining, snacking, early breakfast and lunch during the next two weekends of the Coachella Music and Arts Festival at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio.

None of these venues is more than 15 minutes away from the festival venue.

Stuft Pizza and The Grill on Main in Old Town La Quinta are two great late night dining options, both about a 10-minute drive from the festival. Stuft Pizza serves until 10 p.m. and The Grill stays open until until 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights with food service until 10 p.m. set against its own fantastic live music.

For snacking and lunch, drive 10 minutes to Indio's Arriola's Tortilleria. Fresh tortillas, tamale boats, and nachos. A 73-year-old business that is every bit authentic and delicious.

Make sure to visit Ian (left) and Chris at Arriola's Tortilleria in Indio for lunch and snacks like tamale boats, chips and salsa, and other Mexican delicacies.

Nearby, Old Town Indio is filled with surprises. Among them, Yellow Mart, a legendary general store, if you need camping supplies to make your Coachella tent more comfortable, cowboy hats, or local high school insignia outerwear, a great addition to anyone's club-going wardrobe back home.

Looking to contribute to the art scene at Coachella, Jack Farley's Art Supplies provides professional-grade art supplies. And take a moment to browse The Design Collection and Upholstery Outlet, a unique Hollywood set designer's resource, especially their funky Cowboy-themed 1940s and '50s fabrics.

Forget your good boots for Coachella? Visit The Design Collection and Upholstery Outlet in Old Town Indio where you may find that special pair.

Travel out Harrison Street about 15 minutes to Thermal where you'll find Chapala Market, a fantastic, authentic Mexican lunch location, featuring colorful tile walls and the vibe of a Quentin Tarantino movie. It is a unique market and restaurant offering Mexican and American delights including the Oasis Burger and combo plates to die for. Spanish will do fine, but they'll work with your English. The dining area is cool and quiet.

Back in Indio, El Mexicali Cafe has great seafood, ceviche, and a unique location, literally feet away from the trans-continental train tracks that serve the Southern U.S. When one of those endless, double-stack freight trains rumbles past, you'll hear and feel it.

If Palm Springs is your accommodations choice, the Ace Hotel & Swim Club will have its own Coachella experience happening from April 14-25 called Desert Gold.

So open your senses, your mind, and take a look outside the box because there's always something happening in the Coachella Valley during the Coachella Music & Arts Festival.
