The best of Italy comes to the Coachella Valley in the form of more than 25 Italian wines paired with the celebrated cooking of Ritz-Carlton Executive Chef Bruno Lopez, April 23-24, at The Ritz-Carlton in Rancho Mirage.
In Vino Veritas, part of the Palm Springs Life Festival, delivers a culinary experience of a lifetime with the very best wines and winemakers of Italy coming to Rancho Mirage, especially curated by esteemed Italian food and wine authority Gambero Rosso.
This event will tantalize your palate beginning with wine tastings from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. In addition, each day will present a featured three-course lunch with a menu specifically designed to enhance the enjoyment of both the food and wine presented.

Antinori Wines will be the featured wine for the April 23 luncheon. The pairing includes an Heirloom Beet Salad as well as Petite Beef Tenderloin. Sunday’s Winemaker’s Lunch is highlighted by Petrolo Wines with a pairing that includes Heirloom Tomato Tart and Chicken Roulade.
On April 23 only, Salvatore Ferragamo hosts the four-course Winemaker’s Dinner with varietals provided by Il Borro Wines to accompany Smoked Salmon Balik and Lump Crab Ravioli.
Ferragamo, CEO of the family’s agro-leisure business, began Il Borro Winery in 1993 fueled by his great love for wines and the Tuscany countryside. In 2012, Il Borro became part of Relais & Chateaux, and Ferragamo became Ambassador to represent the organzation’s excellence and prestige.
Each meal will be expertly prepared by Lopez, a native of Paris, France, who is a member of the James Beard Foundation and L’Académie Culinaire de France, and was awarded “Officer in French Agriculture Merit Order” for his services.
