2013 Calendar of Events at The Anneberg Retreat Rancho Mirage

This event occurs weekly on Sunday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The following is a list of scheduled events for the Sunnylands 2013 Calendar:

* Sunnylands Center & Gardens is free to the public, September through June, Thursday through Sunday, 9:00 – 4:00.

* Tours of the historic estate, including the A. Quincy Jones-designed home, are available Thursday through Sunday by reservation. Tickets are $35 per person and can be purchased online at www.sunnylands.org (Please note, tickets for tours of the historic estate are released to the public on the first and fifteenth of each month at 9:00 am PST.)

* Bird watching tours on the Sunnylands estate are held each Thursday, January through June, at 9:15 a.m. Reservations can be made at www.sunnylands.org. Tickets for this 90-minute shuttle tour are $25 per person and the once-per-week tour is limited to seven people. (Please note, tickets for these specialized bird watching tours on the historic estate are released to the public on the first and fifteenth of each month at 9:00 am PST.)

* Garden Walks at the Center are held free every Thursday from 11:00 am - noon. No reservations required.

* Bird watching walks are held free at the Center Gardens on select Fridays from 9:15 – 10:15 am. No reservations required. ( 5/17; 5/24)

Third Sunday is a thematic family day program available to all ages. Walks, lectures, hands-on activities, and educational opportunities will be offered based on program themes. This is a FREE public program with activities scheduled from 9:30 am – 3:30 pm. (Note: due to the showing of related films in the Center Theater, there will be a modified schedule of the film A Place Called Sunnylands.)
* 5/19/2013 Sculpture Taking Shape: Cast, Carve, Combine 

Nightlife is a series designed for young professionals. These programs take place at Sunnylands Center & Gardens from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Discussions on topics ranging from art to business will be followed by a mixer with food and drinks. This program is held in partnership with Palm Springs Life magazine and is a pre-reservation, ticketed program ($10). Reservations can be made at www.sunnylands.org.
* 05/08/2013 Branding Yourself for Success. Competition is tough and you need to stand out. How DO you market yourself in this competitive world? Panel speakers (TBA) will speak on preparing yourself to be a success. A beer tasting will be featured.

City of Rancho Mirage Public Library Lecture Series is held in partnership with the City of Rancho Mirage Public Library. Topics reflect current programming at Sunnylands Center & Gardens.
