The Palm Springs Art Museum announced that it will have reduced hours of operation for the summer months in its Palm Springs and Palm Desert buildings.
Palm Springs Art Museum summer hours:
The museum will be closed for a private event on Thursday, June 19 from 4-8. There will be no public admission on this day. Through July 31, the building will be closed on Mondays, will have hours of 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The Marks Graphic Center and the Elrod and Marcuse Sculpture Gardens are currently closed until September 9. On Thursdays the building will be open from 12 p.m. - 8 p.m. and will feature free admission from 4-8 p.m. The building will be closed on July 4 and will close for one month during August, from August 1 - September 9.
Annenberg Theater Summer Box Office hours:
The Box Office will observe regular hours through July 7, and then will shift to being open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. -4 p.m. The Box Office will remain opened during August when museum is closed.
The Museum Store will observe regular hours through July, and then will shift to being closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. On Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, it will be open from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. and on Thursdays it will be open from 12 - 8 p.m.
The Muse Cafe
The café will be closed throughout the summer and will reopen in October.
The administrative offices have been temporarily relocated to the museum's lower level as the administrative building undergoes a complete renovation over the summer. Staff will move back into the remodeled office on September 9.
The Palm Springs Art Museum in Palm Desert
The Galen building will observe regular hours through July 31. In August and September, the museum will be open on Fridays from 12-8 p.m. (featuring free admission from 4-8 p.m.); and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. It will be closed Monday through Thursday, but will resume regular hours of operation on September 27.
