Collection of over 50 portraits of the men and women of World War Two by guest artist-in-residence, Chris Demarest. Author and illustrator of over 100 titles as well as an official artist for the Coast Guard, Demarest has documented Coast Guard operations from the Persian Gulf to Jurricane Katrina. Many of his visual art hangs in the Coast Guard's permanent collection in Washington DC. From January through April, Demarest will be setting up his paints and easel in the Palm Springs Air Museum where he will be painting and hanging portraits honoring the "Greatest Generation". These paintings all depict World War Two service members on the job.
