Jamaican Themed Nights WE BE JEMin Wednesdays at the JEM Steakhouse at Spotlight 29 Casino in Coachella

The menu, which has thoughtfully been created by Chef de Cuisine Hesron McKenzie, will feature delectable dishes by the native Jamaican.
 
“I’m excited to introduce our diners to some of the amazing food I enjoyed growing up in Jamaica,” said Chef Hesron.  “The dishes are full of vibrant colors and flavors.  Wednesday nights are going to be fun at the JEM Steakhouse.”
 
The Jamaica Night menu will feature such items as Caribbean Fish Cake, Sunsplash Salad (photo attached), Curry Chicken, Jerk Rubbed Chicken, Rasta Pasta, Steamed Red Snapper and a chef’s favorite, Braised Oxtail.   Deserts will also have a flavor of the islands with such things as a Tropical Fruit Cocktail and a Pineapple Upside Down Cake. 
 
Prices range from $8-$10 for appetizers and $18-$44 for entrees.
 
Guests will also be treated to live music featuring a steel drum band or a DJ and specialty drinks such as Rum Punch, Rum Coolers, Jamaican Pina colada, Rum Margarita and of course Red Stripe Beer.
 
JEM Steakhouse is open 5-10pm, Wednesday-Saturday and 5-9pm on Sunday.  Enjoy the wine list and special bar menu at the JEM Bar, open daily at 4pm, with Happy Hour specials from 4-6pm (except Wednesday, Saturday and show nights).
 
Earlier this year, JEM Steakhouse earned the prestigious 2009 Restaurant Wine List Award given by Wine Spectator Magazine.
