Among traditional holiday songs this month, you’ll hear the sounds of country, opera, soul, pop, jazz, and more. Just look through the December calendar that follows. And since the holidays are all about giving, it’s fitting that Barry Manilow is in the lineup with a five-night concert series benefiting 25 local charities (Dec. 4-5 and 7-9). Manilow, who lives in Palm Springs, calls the series “a very personal and special event for me.” He loves the desert so much that he flies back after his Las Vegas performances to sleep in his own bed.
On Dec. 30, the man who writes the songs concludes a record-setting five-year engagement at the Las Vegas Hilton.
As for his desert audience, premium ticket holders will enjoy a reception with Manilow in addition to the concert, which features his hits as well as songs from his new Christmas album. McCallum Theatre, 73000 Fred Waring Dr., Palm Desert.

As Barry Manilow once said "Aw isn't he (meaning himself) the nicest of guys." Well he sure is they nicest human being around.
When he's asked to do something he doesn't say no. He when do you
need me and where. He give from his heart because he truely cares.
The charities that will benefit from these shows are lucky to have
such a wonderful person doing this for them. It makes me proud to be
called a Barry Manilow fan.
