Imagine it’s the late ’50 to early ’60s and Frank Sinatra has raised his infamous Jack Daniels flag alerting local revelers that his posh Twin Palms Estate is open for cocktail hour. Big band music spins on the record player, the scent of gardenias (Sinatra’s favorite flower) wafts through the air, and ladies in their little black dresses chat poolside with gentlemen wearing fedoras and smoking cigars. It’s just another swinging good time at Sinatra’s luxurious estate.

a swingin’ affair on Dec. 11 brings back the glitz and glamour of Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack, with a three-part gala celebrating the Chairman’s birthday. The event, hosted by Pamela Anderson, benefits Alzheimer’s Association’s California Southland Chapter. Festivities kick off with an exclusive VIP cocktail hour, with live music and canapés at Sinatra’s former Twin Palms estate designed by famed architect E. Stewart Williams.

The gala takes place at Riviera Palm Springs, where it’s said Sinatra held many of his lavish parties, and includes cocktails and a three-course dinner. Hear Frank Sinatra Jr. perform with his Big Band Orchestra. In addition, catch the smokin’ sounds of singer/pianist Daniel Joseph Baker (America’s Got Talent), Matt Dusk, and Broadway star Lainie Kazan.

The night closes with an after-party starting at 11:30 p.m. at the Riviera’s Starlite Lounge, featuring more live music and cocktails. In the wee hours, a special toast and a cake cutting will honor Sinatra’s birthday. Call 1-760-561-5561 or visit www.aswingingaffair.com for more information.
