Don't you just love it when a plan comes together? In February 2012 Babe’s Bar-B-Que & Brewhouse began a new chapter in their storied 12-year history. Having earned their solid reputation as the perennial Best of the Best BBQ over the past 10 years and weathering the economic downturn, their vision shifted to diversification and growth. The gist of their plan quickly turned to expanding the microbrew sales valley wide!
In March 2012, Chief Operating Officer Arthur L. Vasquez and General Manager Jason St. John joined forces with Adnan Pamukcu, founder of OnTable Media. “Adnan is a marketing genius!” says Vasquez, Together we rebranded the restaurant and created our off-site beer business!”
Their list of award winning beers include their Blackfin Lager, Honey Blonde Ale, 29 Palms Pale Ale and their Belgian Vanilla Blonde Ale. Babe’s 12th Anniversary Barley Wine Ale was just awarded a Gold Medal at the LA International Beer Competition this past June!
Marketing our beer strictly within the Coachella Valley, we incorporate an image of iconic San Jacinto Mountains on the label to reflect our Local Pride. As of June 2014, Babe’s Bar-B-Que & Brewhouse has garnered 26 Medals in their 12 years, 19 of them in just the last six years. It is obvious that Babe’s is extremely passionate about the entire local beer scene. They have actually penned their call to action: Drink Local with Pride, Coachella Valley and created the hashtag #CoachellaValleyBeerScene to bring the local craft beer community together.
Babe’s has now partnered up with an impressive group of the valley’s businesses! Workshop Kitchen + Bar, The Venue Sushi Bar & Sake Lounge, the Renaissance Palm Springs Hotel, Ace Hotel, Cork & Fork, Trio, and The Purple Room to name a few. “We don’t sell beer, we create partnerships with the community,” Vasquez says, Anyone can sell beer, but that does not quality make. My partners and in some cases, close friends (E. Onural owner of The Venue & M. Beckman, owner of Workshop Kitchen + Bar) demand quality, not buzz! Craft, consistency and the mutual respect of our partners is Job No. 1!

Open for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., dinner from 4:30 to 10 p.m. Bar is open until 11 p.m. and Happy Hour 3 to 6 p.m. daily.
