Palm Springs’ Best-Kept SecretBy Therese Everett-Kerley Just steps away from fabled Palm Canyon Drive in downtown Palm Springs is one of the city’s best-kept secrets in fine dining: The Steakhouse at Spa Resort Casino. As you enter this sophisticated yet comfortable restaurant, you’ll be greeted as though you’re family — seated at one of venue’s cozy tables, and whisked away on a culinary adventure. Your first stop? A ridiculously indulgent appetizer menu that includes things like the Ultimate Seafood Cocktail featuring a half portion of Maine Lobster, plus Shrimp, Oyster, Divers Scallop and King Crab. Other items include Pomegranate Glazed Lamb Chops and a variety of fresh salads. But as the name suggests, The Steakhouse is all about prime steaks. Here you’ll find all your favorites, from filet mignon and rib eye, to Herb Roasted Prime Rib with made-to-order Yorkshire Pudding. The menu also includes classics like rack of lamb, veal, and a seemingly endless supply of fresh seafood entrées, all prepared with dazzling marinades and finishes. Desserts at The Steakhouse are all house-made, with an equally impressive wine list that has garnered multiple Wine Spectator awards over the years.
