The 1940s through 1960s marked a defining era in American style and architecture. During this time, midcentury modern, known for its sleek lines and minimalist aesthetic, became a staple in design that remains popular to this day. Modernism Week (Feb. 14-24) celebrates the works of visionaries like Richard Neutra, Paul Williams, and Albert Frey to name a few. Participate in lectures, educational events, and parties that will be held within Palm Springs. Enjoy tours of private residences in places such as William Cody Glass House, commercial buildings, and architectural gems favored by those who admire the midcentury modern movement.
