Starting Feb. 12, the Greater Palm Springs Area becomes the focal point of everything midcentury modern with the advent of the 10th annual Modernism Week.
And deservedly so.
No other place in the world celebrates its architectural history better than desert modernistas.
The tribute to the great architects like Williams Krisel, Donald Wexler, Richard Harrison, Albert Frey, Hugh Kaptur and Richard Neutra is never more apparent than when their work continues to resonate through home ownership.
"Modern on the Market," set for Feb. 14-15, puts the spotlight on the architecture that defines the Greater Palm Springs real estate market with an Open House weekend of midcentury homes. Open house hours are 10 a.m. to 4 pm. Feb. 14 in Palm Springs, and noon to 4 p.m. Feb. 15 in Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, Indian Wells and La Quinta.
