Essential Information

Address 74855 Country Club Dr

When JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa opened in February 1987, it was heralded as one of the largest destination resorts and convention complexes in the southwestern United States. It’s sheer size alone firmly positioned the Coachella Valley as a world-class destination.

The sprawling 450-acre property — with its two 18-hole, Ted Robinson-designed championship golf courses; lagoon; lakes and pools; eight-story, 884-room hotel with more than 100,000 square feet of meeting space; ultra-lavish spa; hard, clay, and grass tennis courts; lush, meandering gardens and lawns — is a luxurious oasis set amid stark desert beauty, surrounded by three magnificent mountain ranges.

In celebration of the resort’s Silver Anniversary, a host of exciting updates enhance the overall property and guest experience. An all-encompassing $25 million renovation includes 884 revitalized guest rooms and suites; the opening of Rockwood Grill, Blue Star Lounge, and Fisherman’s Landing; and a range of updates to the acclaimed Ted Robinson-designed Palm and Valley courses.

Drift off into uncharted waters on the resort’s popular gondolas to favorite Desert Springs restaurants like Rockwood Grill and Blue Star Lounge — the hottest spot at the water’s edge — offering a luxurious yet casual all-day dining venue focused on California’s abundant farms and local produce. By day, you can reflect on the spectacular views while enjoying a Blue Star Lounge signature cocktail and, after sunset, enjoy a starlit scene filled with stunning views and great energy.

A local favorite to Palm Springs and Palm Desert residents, Fisherman’s Market & Grill brings its boat-to-table mentality to the resort with Fisherman’s Landing Bar & Grill. Located near the Colonnade of Shops, Fisherman’s Landing offers a variety of quality fresh-caught seafood dishes in a casual atmosphere that’s sure to please.

Desert Springs’ other longtime favorite dining options include Mikado Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar, where knife-twirling chefs use fire and steam to create a mouthwatering menu. The Lobby Bar and Sushi Bar serves as an epicenter of activity for guests and locals alike with ever present views of the surrounding landscape.

New retail outlets include Sunnyland Chocolate Factory, Wallet World, Desert Shades, and the Spa Shop. Other shops along the Colonnade include Eagle Rider for bicycle and motorbike rentals and gear. Lee Tatum Shoes and Lee Tatum for fine apparel and accessories opened with the resort 25 years ago.

Please consider us your paradise away from home, and be sure to enjoy all the amenities throughout our resort.
