Ace Hotel and Swim Club in Palm Springs has earned the No. 1 spot as the 'Hotel for the Beer Geek' based on rankings from The Tablet Hotels Magazine in its January 2013 online edition.

The online travel magazine provides bookings for hotels it visits and evaluates, and enlists the help of travelers to review properties.

Ace Hotel beat out The Augustine in Prague for the No. 1 honor.

The magazine wrote of the beer offerings at the King's Highway restaurant at Ace: “The beverage list at this refurbished roadside motel has come a long, long way since the days when the on-site restaurant was a 24-hour diner. They kept a bit of the kitsch, but now you can wash down your all-day breakfast with a draft from Dogfish, Stone, Lost Abbey or Lagunitas, to name just a few. And yes, this being an outpost of the Ace, the ten-deep can selection also includes Tecate tallboys and PBR.”

The rest of the top 11 includes The Nomad Hotel in New York; The Standard in High Line, NY; Hotel Solamar in San Diego; Kerry Hotel Pudong in Shanghai; Hotel IM Wasserturm in Cologne; Hotel Julien in Antwerp; the Vail Cascade in Colorado, and the Mandarin Oriental in Munich.
