Palm Springs Boutique Hotels Collect TripAdvisor Awards

Desert Riviera earns No. 1 Best Bargain ranking in U.S.



Desert Riviera in Palm Springs received four rankings, including No. 1 for Best Bargain in the U.S.

Ten Palm Springs boutique hotels received the 2014 Travelers’ Choice Awards by TripAdvisor website, in the following top categories: Best Small Hotel, Romance and Bargain.

Travelers’ Choice award winners were determined based on the reviews and opinions of millions of TripAdvisor travelers around the globe.

Desert Riviera in Palm Springs received four rankings, including No. 1 for Best Bargain in the U.S. The website notes, "From the great layout to the spotless rooms, lovely pool (available 24 hours) and the most helpful staff, this hotel has everything most large chain hotels will never have."

Desert Riviera also was ranked No. 2 for Best Bargain Hotels in the World; No. 2 for Top 25 Hotels for Romance in the U.S. and No. 17 for Top 25 Hotels for Romance in the World.

La Maison Hotel in Palm Springs garnered the No. 1 ranking for Top 25 Small Hotels in the U.S. The website says, "A perfect haven, ideal for relaxing by the pool. The room was beautiful and comfortable. The grounds were immaculate. It felt special to spend time here."

La Maison also secured No. 12 among the Top 25 Hotels for Romance in the U.S.

Hotel California earned a trio of rankings, including No. 3 for Top 25 Hotels for Best Bargain in the U.S.; No. 4 for Top 25 Hotels for Romance in the U.S., and No. 14 among the Top 25 Bargain Hotels in the World.

The Willows in Palm Springs ranked No. 18 among the Top 25 Small Hotels in the U.S., while Old Ranch Inn in Palm Springs was No. 23.

Queen of Hearts Resort and Alpine Gardens Hotel  - both in Palm Springs - were ranked No. 9 and 25, respectively, among the Top 25 Hotels for Best Bargain in the U.S.

Palm Springs has more than 70 boutique mid-century modern classics and Spanish villas, including many independently owned and operated.
