MountedPoliceRodeo

One of the highlights of the annual Palm Springs Mounted Police Rodeo was a performance by Montie Montana, his wife Louise Montana and their baby son.

The entire family of rodeo performers traveled with the rodeo circuit, which ran from Cheyenne, Wyo., to Pendleton, Ore., to Salinas, Calif., and finally to Palm Springs.

Montana, a rodeo trick rider, actor, and stuntman, was inducted into the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame in 1994. He has a star on the Palm Springs Walk of Stars dedicated in 1996, and annually participated in the Tournament of Roses Parade until his death in 1998.
