The Islands Come to the Mainland by the Poolside at Morongo

Morongo Casino Resort & Spa brings the island life to Southern California with weekend poolside concerts featuring the steel drum band Calypso Compromise.  Every Saturday and Sunday this summer between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., Calypso Compromise will liven up the Oasis Pool by performing musical styles such as calypso, reggae, soka, oldies and more.

The Oasis Pool and Water Park at Morongo features a sandy beach around an enormous pool, two heated spas, a waterslide and the region’s laziest lazy river.  From now until summer’s end, guests can enjoy these amenities while also listening to soothing island music.

Calypso Compromise has been captivating audiences with their unique style for the past six years.  The band performs with steel drums, keyboards, congas and many other percussion instruments to create unforgettable music.  Lead by veteran musician Michael Williams, Calypso Compromise performs many classics including Day O, Margaritaville, I Just Called to Say I Love You, and Don’t Worry, Be Happy. 

Oasis Pool and Water Park features a sandy beach area around the huge heated pool, two heated spas on different levels, an exciting waterslide and lazy river to float your cares away. Everything is set in the lush gardens inspired by the South Pacific Islands.

Private cabana rentals are available 7 days a week, and day-use passes are available for non-hotel guests. The Sunset Bar & Grill offers poolside beverage service and a full menu of delicious sandwiches and entrées.
