It’s more than just the season finale to the HGTV Star series at 5 p.m. Sunday (July 21).

It’s the debut of three new suites at the Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa in Rancho Mirage.

Re-designed by the show’s three finalists – Jeribai Tascoe of Sonora, Calif., Tiffany Brooks of Antioch, Ill., and Brooks Atwood of Brooklyn, N.Y. –  the resort became the lucky recipient of makeovers to the Agave Suite, Valencia Suite and Brisa Suite.

Each grand suite showcases the designers’ eclectic flair and interpretation of mid-century modern design. The re-design comes on the heels of the resort’s multi-million dollar renovation and reflagging with the Omni Hotels and Resorts brand.

The renovation included a chic and sophisticated look to the resort’s meeting spaces, an upgraded lobby and bar, a refreshed outdoor plaza area and adults-only pool, and upgrades to the resort’s spa and fitness center.

One of the HGTV Star finalist's redesign included nine prints from Southern California painter and illustrator Josh “Shag” Agle, whose store adorns the Palm Springs Uptown Design District.

Jonathan Scott and Drew Scott, also known as the HGTV Property Brothers, mentored all three designers. Each redesign includes a sleeping area, work area and lounge area.

The top designer will receive a contract for his/her own show on HGTV based on the judging done by Genevieve Gorder, Sabrina Soto, Vern Yip and host David Bromstad.
