Judy Tenuta performs at Azul restaurant June 2, 2012.
O’Bayley Communications

She’s an outrageous ordained minister who converts audiences to her signature religion, “Judyism.” Fun-loving, mind-blowing feminist Judy Tenuta preaches that all women should be worshipped as “love goddesses.” A strong advocate for gays, children, and women’s issues, Tenuta is performing live at Azul in Palm Springs on June 2. The downtown tapas-inspired lounge and restaurant, a popular hangout for locals and visitors, provides entertainment through most of the summer. In addition to Tenuta, Azul will present comedy shows featuring Los Angeles comics on June 30 and July 28. Judy Tenuta and comedy shows begin at 6:30 p.m. with a pre-show, followed by performances at 7:30 p.m.
