Win top prize in Barley Wine Ale category at Los Angeles event

Babe's Bar-B-Que a& Brewhouse in Rancho Mirage continues its gold rush in beer judging competitions.

The Coachella Valley’s oldest craft micro-brewery brought home a gold medal in the Barley Wine Ale category for its “12th Anniversary Barley Wine Ale” at the recent Los Angeles International Commercial Beer Competition.

Babe's also collected a silver medal for its English Style “Challenger ESB Ale” and added its first bronze medal for the locally popular “Babe’s Belgian Vanilla Blonde Ale”.

The trio of medals brings Babe’s total count to 19 in the last six years at the Los Angeles event.

Established in 2002, Babe’s is led by Chief Operating Officer Arthur L. Vasquez, General Manager Jason St. John and Brew Master Scot Grabbe.

La Quinta Brewing Co. & Coachella Valley Brewing Co.

In their first appearance at the Los Angeles International Commercial Beer Competition, a Quinta Brewing Co. was awarded a bronze medal in the  in the "American-Style Strong Pale Ale" category for one of its flagship brews, the One Eleven Pale Ale.

Coachella Valley Brewing Co. garnered a silver medal in the "Rye Beer" category for Monumentous IPA and an honorable mention for its Sessions IPA in the "Session Beer" category.
