Temecula Winery Offers Fantasy and Fabulous Imbibing

Site Staff Restaurants

Escape to an adult version of Disneyland. Briar Rose Winery features a life-size replica of Snow White’s cottage  — a hand-plastered, straw-thatched property built by the same plasterer who created original structures for the world-famous amusement park inspired by Walt Disney.

The winery is located in Southern California’s growing wine region, Temecula — a mere 80 miles or so from Palm Springs. Owned by Les and Dorian Linkogle, Briar Rose produces handcrafted, small lot, premium, artisan wines made from intensely flavored grapes.

Sample wines in the tasting room or on a patio shaded by one of the oldest olive trees in California. Try the fumé rose, a varietal created by aging sauvignon blanc grapes in barrels used to age cabernet sauvignon. Or sip the sparkling viognier made with beer yeast. Then, wander the gardens and savor the enchantment.
