Knott's Soak City
As the temperature rises, everyone will be looking for a cool place to take the family. Starting March 9th, the best place for refreshing family fun will be Knott’s Soak City Water Park. The water park has been a favorite desert destination since 2001, and continues to provide a full day of activity for the entire family, with 18 intense water rides and attractions. This 21-acre oasis also includes 24 private poolside cabanas, making it great place for family get-together.

Feast Your Way Through the Desert
Food + Wine Festival Palm Desert™ gathers the most creative culinary artists and unleashes their genius for three days of delicious food and succulent wine tasting. From March 22-24, sample dishes from celebrity chefs Sean Kanaan (General Hospital) and Sharone Hakman (Master Chefs), or enjoy mouthwatering fare from locals Mark Van Laanen of Trio, or tasty bites from Bellatrix, BluEmber, and Lantana, to name a few. Each of the participating restaurants has offered its menu in advance to facilitate symbiotic wine pairings that elevate fine dining to an unforgettable experience. Participating wineries include Alexander Valley Vineyards, Ben Marco, Dutton-Goldfield and Piper Heidsieck.

1 - Celebrity Wine and Spirits Consultant Michael Green hosts six wine seminars to educate fellow vino enthusiasts. Learn which vintage pairs best with desserts, savory dishes, or cheeses from one of the most sophisticated palates in the culinary world. March 23.
2 - The James Beard Luncheon offers dishes prepared by the best and brightest chefs in the culinary world, March 22. The fun lasts from 11:30 a.m to 2:30 p.m. Alcohol will be served, so guests must be at least 21 years old.
3 - Throw down on some good old-fashioned barbecue with Tanya Holland. The author of New Soul Cooking: Updating a Cuisine Rich in Flavor and Tradition and the host and expert on soul food for The Food Network and Cooking Channel brings her distinctive flavor to the desert March 23.
