The White Party Palm Springs will attract more than 20,000 gay men to the downtown area for a three-day party featuring Billboard chart singers.

Thursday, March 28

5 p.m.: Ready to start the weekend a little early? LIVE magazine and the Tuesday Nite Social Club combine on a mixer at Wang's in Palm Springs. Happy hour prices until 7 p.m.

5:30-7:30 p.m.: Meet the artists whose work comprises the show, "Right Under Your Nose" at UCR Palm Desert. The event is free, and the work has been selected from members of the Artists Council of the Palm Springs Art Museum.

6 p.m.: Gen. Stanley McChrystal, the former commander of U.S. and international forces in Afghanistan, helps close out the H.N. & Frances C. Berger Foundation Desert Town Hall series at Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa in Indian Wells.

7-8:30 p.m.: A free evening of classical music from pianist Frederick Moyer at the Rancho Mirage Public Library. His talents have taken him around the world, appearing as a piano soloist with the major orchestras and also at the Kennedy Center.

8 p.m.: No word raises curiosity more than the word, naked. "Naked Boys Singing" makes its Palm Springs debut with a four-day run, March 28-31, at Palm Canyon Theatre. Shows are at 8 p.m. March 28-30, and 2 p.m. March 31. This outrageous musical revue features 16 songs and six hunky guys.

8 p.m.: CV Rep Theatre opens "The Sunset Limited" based on a Pulitzer Prize winning novel by Cormac McCarthy in Rancho Mirage. A fascinating clash of viewpoints over death, faith and the future of mankind starring ML Berry and Don Oscar Smith (pictured left). Runs through April 7.

Dinner suggestion: Rockwood Grill at the Marriott Desert Springs Resort in Palm Desert. The restaurant was featured at last weekend's Food & Wine Festival Palm Desert.

Friday, March 29

7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.: The fourth annual Art Bowman Memorial Golf Tournament, one of the late original homeowners at the Oasis Country Club who suffered from prostate cancer. Proceeds benefit the Arnold Palmer Prostate Cancer Center at Eisenhower Lucy Curci Cancer Center.

9 a.m.: The 24th annual White Party Palm Springs opens with venues at the Renaissance Palm Springs, Palm Springs Hilton and the Palm Springs Convention Center. The largest gay party of the year brings more than 20,000 men to the downtown area. Runs through the weekend with a stellar cast of musical entertainment.

4-7 p.m.: The Friends of the Palm Springs Library stage their annual Book Sale with proceeds benefiting the library. A members only preview is held Friday night, and the general public is invited from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 30 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 31.

6-9 p.m.: Meet the Museum membership drive party features DJ entertainment, open bar stations, food and edge artistic features at the Palm Springs Art Museum. Hosted by Integrated Wealth Management's Jim Casey and his partner, Jason Altieri.

8 p.m.: The always popular Blue Man Group (pictured right) comes to the McCallum Theatre at 8 p.m. March 29 and also at 2 p.m. March 30 You don't have to go to Vegas to see this explosive show.

Dinner suggestion: Fisherman's Landing, Palm Desert. Louis Pagano, who owns Fisherman's Market and Grill restaurants, has branched out. If you love fish, this is the place to go.

Saturday, March 30

9 a.m.: The Easter Bunny arrives on a fire truck and more than 3,000 eggs will be hidden at Ruth Hardy Park in Palm Springs as part of the Palm Springs Firemen's Association annual Easter Egg Hunt. The egg hunt is open to kids, ages 2-9. A pancake breakfast follows the hunt.

2 and 7:30 p.m.: "Mr. Horn" makes its premiere in the desert featuring playwright Tony Padilla's story of a socially-climbing Libertine in a sexy comedy from the Desert Ensemble Theatre Company at the Annenberg Theater. Additional shows at 2 and 7:30 p.m. March 31.

8 p.m.: "The Happy Together Tour" takes you back to the 1960s-70s featuring The Turtles (pictured left), Gary Puckett & The Union Gap, The Buckinghams, The Grass Roots and Mickey Dolenz from The Monkees.

8 p.m.: Rob Thomas returns with the band that helped make him famous, Matchbox Twenty, at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino In Indio.

Dinner suggestion: Charli Marrone's Italian Bar & Grill in Indio. Eggplant Parmesan and coconut shrimp headline a great menu.

Sunday, March 31

5:45 a.m.: Start your Easter Sunday off with a Sunrise Service at the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway (pictured below). From 8,000-plus elevation, breakfast will be served after the service. Easter dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Pines Cafe, a cafeteria-style restaurant.

8 a.m.: Motorcycle enthusiasts unite for a ride the last Sunday of each month. Labled the "I Dunno Ride!" means there is no destination, no return time and no predetermined place to eat breakfast. Sound intriguing? Meet at Valley V-Twin Motorcycles and Sales.

11:30 a.m.: Private brunch for friend and supporters of the Bellatrix Restaurant at the Classic Club in Palm Desert. The 18th annual Pegasus Easter Sunday brunch includes two auctions (live and silent) and extensive brunch.

And The Winner Is

The Virginia Waring International Piano competition concludes with three finalists playing full concertos with the Waring Festival Orchestra at 7 p.m. April 1 at the McCallum Theater.
