Joshua Tree-based artist Tina Bluefield has introduced a new series of abstract paintings, "Between the Lines", at Colin Fisher Studios in Cathedral City.

The gallery, located in the Perez Art District, hosted an opening reception exhibition, which drew art patrons, collectors, and new guests to the Colin Fisher Studios.

Bluefield, who once painted landscapes, was “compelled by the austere beauty around me” in the High Desert, she said. Her paintings are rich in color and range aesthetically from organic and ethereal to hardedge and geometric.

“This artist captures the essence of creating a defined line between color and that of a simple edge,” Fisher said. “This is what can happen when you take a person who is born with a creative ability, and then they take [her] given talent and perfect it. Tina’s paintings are something you would be pleased to look at each and every day. It is a wonderful experience for an artist when their work is as widely accepted and in such demand. ”

The exhibition continues through May 17 at Colin Fisher Studios, 68929 Perez Road, Suite M, Cathedral City.
