PrintSouplantation and Martha's Village & Kitchen collect food for Thanksgiving
The Thanksgiving holiday is quickly approaching. As you buy your turkey or ham and the fixings for all the traditional dishes, please consider that in your same neighborhood there are families who are not as fortunate as your own.
For these families in need, Thanksgiving is just a myth. Martha’s Village & Kitchen is making this myth into a reality by serving an anticipated 1,000 meals on Thanksgiving Day. In order for this to happen, we need donations of:
• Frozen Turkeys
• canned cranberry sauce
• yams or sweet potatoes
• dinner rolls
• fresh produce
• canned green beans or mushrooms
• cream of mushroom soup
• pies
Cash donations are also sorely needed.
Bring your donations directly to any of the following locations:
• Martha’s Village, 83791 Date Ave, Indio or
• Any Coachella Valley branch of Wells Fargo Bank.
• Souplantation, 79-705 Hwy 111, La Quinta, where the person donating the most food at Souplantaion will receive one free Souplantation meal every week for a year!
