The Medical Clinic at Martha's Village is staffed by Board Certified Physicians and serves both homeless and uninsured adults and children in the Coachella Valley.
2009 Visits: The clinic had 4,053 patients visits between January and September 2009, a 40% increase in visits over last year. September 2009 visits were 47% higher than September 2008. The medical needs are real and the need is increasing.
The clinic;
* provides treatment for acute medical needs, injuries and provides care for chronic medical conditions including Diabetes, Asthma, Anxiety, Depression, Hypertension, and Wound Care,
* dispenses prescriptions for eligible patients for NO Charge, and assists people in completing prescription assistance applications,
* administers childhood immunizations and
* administers Flu shots .
Vision Clinics are held 3-4 times/year providing free eye exams and glasses.
The Medical Clinic sees homeless and uninsured patients by appointment 5 days a week, Monday through Friday, and accommodates as many walk-in patients as possible, 8:30am to 5pm. The clinic is closed for major holidays.
