For the best Bette in town, check out “Bette Midler, Queen of Hearts” starring Sherrie Rae Parker on Nov. 4. Parker’s stellar performance will kick off “Stars Across the Desert,” a live dinner concert series at The Club at Shenandoah Springs in Thousand Palms offering six dynamic shows throughout the season: Gennine Jackson Francis (Dec. 1); Rob Garrett “King of Diamonds” Neil Diamond tribute (Jan. 20), “Kenny & Friends Musical Tribute Show,” featuring Richard Hampton as Kenny Rogers, Sherry Gordon as Dolly Parton, Marie Levin as Reba McEntire, and Brian McCullough as Roy Orbison (Feb. 9); “Happy Days Style Sock Hop,” featuring Gennine Jackson Francis and Bill Ramirez (Feb. 23); and “Elvis is Alive!” starring Travis Allen as the King (March 9).

Sherie Rae Parker is the perfect way to start off a stunning tribute series. She’s a “Legends in Concert” veteran showstopper who is not only a spot on look-alike, but also an impeccable sound-alike with an energy level that electrifies and exhilarates.

Born in Detroit, raised in Southern California and now living is Las Vegas, Parker’s pursuit of a career in music and drama started when she was just a kid. By the time she was 14, she had already made her first recording for Screen Gems.
Parker’s deliciously eerie similarities to the Divine Miss M. resulted in engagements lasting from weeks to months to even years, taking the Bette Midler impersonator from Las Vegas to cities and countries all over the world.

“I feel a special closeness to Bette,” Parker says. “Our voices are alike and I try to portray her with the same energy and humor that Bette displays on stage, she reaches out and grabs you. When I was young, I always knew I would grow up to be somebody, but who knew I would grow up to be somebody else.”

The show begins at 7:30 p.m. (doors open at 6 p.m. for dinner) and combines over an hour of outrageous songs, dance, and comedy antics of Bette Midler, the Divine Miss M.
