The pool at Hard Rock Hotel Palm Springs can double as a fashion runway.

If that wasn't part of the specs before, it is now.

Where else would you want to view a line of swimwear for men and women than at the place you will likely wear it.

Troupe Productions, spearheaded by founders Jim Casey, Kim Waltrip, and Trini Garza, brought "Fashion Splash" to the downtown area Oct. 25-27, creating a meeting of resort and fashion.

Mikey Koffman, owner/producer of LA Fashion Weekend/Fashion Splash, put together back-to-back swimwear fashion shows on the evenings of Oct. 25-26, featuring designers Salt, Mandalynn, Stone Fox Swim and Culture Swimwear, Le Mali Designs, Walter Mendez, and Unique Vintage. The weekend culminated with a fashion-inspired pool party Pct. 27 at the hotel.

Audience members sat in the chaise lounges surrounding the pool or stood at one corner of the Hard Rock Hotel pool as models paraded bouncing to the music. The fashion show was prefaced and closed by Troupe Productions' "Top Rock", a musical dance ensemble that will premiere Nov. 9 at the hotel.
